If you have some of your own, feel free to post them on my wall. Thanks to everyone who came and shared the experience and especially to those who came early for my solo sets.

My new music manager is Emerald Violin founder and my very good friend, Emma Cother.

It’s all rather timely, given that my song “Heart-Shaped Space” has recently been synced with a new television campaign promoting a national program called Partners in Depression, which aims to support those who care for or love someone with depression. This week I have also been performing and presenting at the 3rd Annual International Arts and Health Conference in Canberra.

I’ve started a new page on my website called “CARE“, which outlines my interests in this area and provides some great links to information and programs related to mental health (particularly that of young people and also that of fellow musicians).

Other support slots will be filled by Melbourne indie pop outfit Gossling, and our own Heath Cullen (The Idle guitarist).

I’m already thrilled to be joining Tim onstage as part of The Idle, but I am truly honoured to have the opportunity to play a few tunes off my EP “Sleeping Dogs Lie”, for his fans around the country. It’s going to be a real treat.

Pleased to announce that I will be joining The Whitlams frontman Tim Freedman as part of his new band - Tim Freedman & The Idle.

Tim will launch his first solo album, six years in the making and aptly titled, Australian Idle, on November 4. We will be showcasing the new album on an extensive Australian tour planned later this year and into 2012 - fans can expect a journey into unabashedly joyful 70s pastiche pop.

I will be chiming in on vocals, keys and guitar. Rehearsals have already begun with Tim and fellow new band members, Heath Cullen (guitar/vocals), Dave Hibbard (drums) and Zoe Hauptmann (bass/vocals).

Tim is a truly inspirational songwriter. I’m really enjoying the new songs and excited to work alongside such a gifted bunch.

We will perform warm-up dates in WA this weekend and a national tour is planned to start in November.  A full list of shows will soon be available on this site. Keep your eyes peeled…
