Introducing… Tim Freedman & The Idle
Pleased to announce that I will be joining The Whitlams frontman Tim Freedman as part of his new band - Tim Freedman & The Idle.
Tim will launch his first solo album, six years in the making and aptly titled, Australian Idle, on November 4. We will be showcasing the new album on an extensive Australian tour planned later this year and into 2012 - fans can expect a journey into unabashedly joyful 70s pastiche pop.
I will be chiming in on vocals, keys and guitar. Rehearsals have already begun with Tim and fellow new band members, Heath Cullen (guitar/vocals), Dave Hibbard (drums) and Zoe Hauptmann (bass/vocals).
Tim is a truly inspirational songwriter. I’m really enjoying the new songs and excited to work alongside such a gifted bunch.
We will perform warm-up dates in WA this weekend and a national tour is planned to start in November. A full list of shows will soon be available on this site. Keep your eyes peeled…
